GETTING THERE!!!!
The ceilng in the bathroom is well on its way tobeing completed. One more coat and paint. look we have updated lighting. Whoo-hoo
this is what happens when Ryan gets bored.
Got 10 inches cut off, I think I lost 5 pounds.
Justin has put in the new sub floor ALL BY HIMSELF, what a trooper.
Ryan busy sanding our dresser drawers for our bedroom. What a guy.
Jack, laying around doing nothing but looking pretty as usual.
Look we have basebords. Justin was up until 3:30 last weekend. he would not stop until he was finished nailing every last one down. YEA! Now we can move into the basement.
they had to revamp the vent due to the wall now missing. Who knew.
for some technical reason, they had to remove the sub floor. Something aobut it butting up to the hardwood once we took out the carpet in the kitchen, Yeah, there was carpet in the kitchen.
another job with our awesome Fien Tool

I was out weed whacking when I look up and there is a little old man standing there stairing at me. I though he wanted to walk on the sidewalk so I stopped and apoligized. He said where is your husband. i told him my gracious husband was inside painting. he asked why I couldn't paint. I told him I had been painting for a solid month and ust wanted to be out int he sun. He smiled and walked away. About 5 min later he returned with these flowers from his garden. It was truly the highlight of my day. What a great neighborhood we will lie in!!Tuesday, June 2, 2009
Where is my hot tub Obama?
To tape or not to tape? I pulled the tape off of the ceiling after trimming out the walls in the upstairs bathroom. The ceiling paint started coming off with the tape. I'll admit, I left the tape on way too long (2 Weeks). No big deal, we are going to paint the ceiling anyway. BUT THEN, I started looking and the ceiling did not look right. THEN my finger went right through it! AHHHHHHH. Good thing I left that tape on so long. :-D
I cannot remember if I posted pics of the stairs. We still have to paint the risers and fill in holes in the wood. The lady who lived there before had a chair lift on the stairs. (I know Jack, i feel the same way)
Again, Joel you ROCK, you too babe! New carpet. No more cat pee-eww. Joel and Justin spent today ripping out the old carpet, cleaning the cement, putting down Killz, buying more padding, and putting this new carpet in.
Git r dun!
What a difference one weekend makes! BEFORE
After. I know the green looks bad, it is not. I just cannot work my camera at night. Please ignore the blue trim. Trim has to be the last thing to get done. I cannot wait!!
This does not even look the same as when we bought it. The wall by the fire place was dark brown paneling. It took forever and ever to get it painted correctly.1. TSP, 2. 2 coats of Killz. 3. 2 coats of paint. You cannot tell in this picture, but there is trim everywhere I ended up hand painting. I had taped it of, but when the tape came of, so did the paint.Monday, May 25, 2009

WOW, this might be a kitchen
We are moving along. Tearing down a wall leaves holes in the ceiling. We used a chalk box to draw a straight line. Justin then used his nifty Fien Multipurpose tool to cut the line straight. I do not know what tool you would use if you did not have one of these. If you are planning on rehabbing your old house or improving your new one, you have to get one of these puppies (it is a beast!).
